Gaming operator Melco Resorts & Entertainment has announced a three year series of residency shows featuring Hong Kong artists Aaron Kwok, Joey Yung and Leon LaiLeon Lai.
According to the gaming group, the three Cantopop singers will be performing a collective of 90 shows at Studio City created especially for the event from this year to 2024, with each performance available exclusively at Melco.
More artists are expected to lineup with their own bespoke shows over the next 12 months, with details of partnership to be announced.
“It’s my pleasure to cooperate with Studio City Macau once more. My performance for the grand opening of Studio City Event Centre in 2015 and large-scale show with electrifying stage effects was hosted here in 2019,” said the actor and musician Aaron Kwok.
“Asia’s first-ever residency show project in Macau to be hosted this year will be innovative and striking. My team and I have already designed a brand new multi-intelligent stage with a rundown of classic songs.”
Since the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, Macau’s gaming concessionaires have looked to bring back the usual large scale productions held in their casino resorts theaters and arenas.
