Sands China has revealed that its new permanent interactive experience at The Venetian Macao – a collaboration with international art collective teamLab – will be called teamLab SuperNature.
Set to open in February 2020, teamLab SuperNature will offer a digital-only, constantly evolving “body immersive” space, containing a world of artworks that blur the boundaries between the human body and art, Sands said on Friday.
The space will be located in Cotai Expo covering 5,000 square metres of floor space and eight metre-high ceilings throughout.
“Visitors will be able to explore new relationships between humans and nature as well as gain a fresh perception of the world,” the company said.
“The space will be transformed by teamLab into an extremely complex, three-dimensional world across varying elevations, featuring immersive and compelling artworks.”
teamLab SuperNature will include “Future Park” – an educational project and amusement park based on the concept of collaborative creation or co-creation – and “Athletics Forest”, a creative athletic space aimed at helping train spatial awareness.
